The big thing about this topic is that there are no brain injuries that are the same. So many things go into a brain injury: the age, mental and physical condition of the person at the time of the injury. The time that elaspsed after the injury occured to when treatment was administered. The location in the brain the injury occurred are all aspects that go into a head injury. Given all of the variables, it is often very difficult to diagnose and develop a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for TBI patients. This is yet another reason that the great caregivers at Health South will always have my gratitude for the work they did in helping me recover from my accident.

My goal and purpose for the new and improved website is to help people by providing them with information on my field of expertise. Showing everyone that hard work and putting forth maximum effort is the best and only way to move forward when confronting life’s challenges and obstacles. Hardships are inevitable in life, and no one is exempt from them. The way one responds to them, is what truly defines the type of person you are.

I consider myself an expert in this field because I had such an event happen to me. My car accident, coma, and regaining former abilities provided me with have firsthand knowledge in seeing the benefits that come from hard work and supreme effort when faced with an adverse situation.

I have published two books: Return From a Comatose Mind and How Education can end the Cultural Problem. The working hard in order to elevate yourself out of arduous circumstances is one thing that I hope people will believe in. I do thinkthat the earlier this notion is instilled in one’s mind frame the better, but I want to help as many people as possible by convincing them in accepting this principle of ownership, responsibility, and accountability.
The services, products, and website I offer are my ways in hoping to incorporate this philosophy. I hope that society is improved a little every day because of this belief, which I owe my existence to. The more we practice and communicate this message, the more likely it is we will leave the world a better place than we found it. That is my ultimate goal with life, “to leave the world a better place than I found it.” I hope that is your goal too and I hope my website will help you do just that.

As a speaker-

I really enjoy interacting with people whether it be at schools, churches, or any other function and using my life stories to inspire them and bring them entertainment. I think humor is a good way to begin speeches because it helps take the edge off my story and my message.
Ultimately, my goal with speaking to others is to convince them that hard work and holding yourself accountable is the correct way to live life. When people see and hear what I overcame and how I was able to accomplished everything that I did, they feed off of it, and are inspired to try harder and put dismiss excuses to not put forth maximum effort for the purpose of self-improving.
I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak at your next event. I have different speeches for any variety of audiences I have the opportunity to speaking to. Whether it is children who need to more fully embrace the benefits of hard work in life, or groups who need to hear my message as they recover from a particular hardship in life, I want to help my audience view situations in life from a different viewpoint.

One of the things I was looking forward to as far as having Barack Obama as our president was his ability to better relate to the aspect of education and relaying its importance to members of our society who do not take it seriously enough. Reform in education was one of Obama’s most important campaign promises. Upgrading schools and improving teacher’s abilities to better educate with better equipment and better schools was an aspect of his pledge.

I really thought that by stating the importance of this element of society, Obama would deliver speaches on how that would occur. However, to this point I have not witnessed Obama or any members of his staff deliver any such speeches. I think Obama must use his position of power to change the direction of our troubled youth. He is a man who is looked up to by many (and with good cause;) he should therefore not take this opportunity for granted.

Without a doubt President Obama is a very busy man, and he has a great deal of responsibilities but his commitment to education is something I am going to hold him to. My proposals for improving education through mentoring are largely what my book is about. I would like to see policies put into place that will work. My concern is that Obama made all these pledges to improve education in order to help him get elected and he may not be taking them as seriously as he said he was going to. That will need to change in order for him to continue receving my support.

When Boise State defeated Oregon at the beginning of the sea son, many assumed they had played their hardest game and would have a good chance at staying undefeated. I’ve listened to several analysts state their belief that the broncos deserve a BCS spot and if they are one of two undeated teams, they should play in the championship game. Critics point to the harder schedules SEC and Big 12 teams have to play and use that to support their belief that Boise State should not be granted such an opportunity. Allow me to propose a way where Boise State could prove they do indeed belong in a BCS title game should they finish the year undefeated, and college football would be even more competitive.

Boise State needs to be in a more competitive football conference. Their current conference (WAC) is made up of teams that do not have a reputation of being football powerhouses. Boise State needs to realize that because of this, they will never be respected on a national level. If they joined the PAC 10, however, they would garnish that national respect because their competition would match their ability. In order to do this, there would have to be another team added in order to give the conference the 12 teams neccessary in order to break the conference into two 6-team divisions. BYU is a team currently in the Mountain West Conference that has other teams of its own ability, but could gain a great deal by joining this conference (it also makes geographical sense.)

The next question is: how would this proposal work? If I were the PAC 10 commissioner, I would have a north and a south division. In the north, I would have Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, California, and Boise State. In the south, I would have Stanford, UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona, USC, and BYU. Furthermore, rivalry games between north and south teams would easily be formed. The most interesting rivalry game would be USC/California but the teams are stated in order so they match up to their proposed rivals.

Is this a good idea for the PAC- 10? Um, let me think: well if they would be interested in making more money from television and increased national exposure it would. If the conference wants to step up and make such a move, its teams would enter themselves into national title contenders, because they would play a chamionship game much like the ACC, SEC, Big 12, and others. I know the Mountain West and WAC wouldn’t like it, but it would be something beneficial for college football.

It was hard to find people who were overweight there and it not hard to determine why. The mass transit system throughout Europe is very good and is used by many people. It also is common to see people biking in a bike lane located next to lanes for motor vehicles.

The mass transit system encourages walking and promotes a healthy life style.

The idea that unhealthy foods warrant additional tax is a good one. Cigarettes are subject to much tax because of their negative effect to one’s health. Another thing detrimental to good health, is fatty food. They lead to increased cost in health care and therefore should be taxed more.

What will do good is suggesting ways each sector responsible for education, how they can take an active roll in improving the levels of education in our society. Students need to be mentally prepared for the journey they will embark on. Parents must do their best in supporting this process. Teachers need to be trained and skilled at managing class distractions. The community must help by donating their time and energy into the process. An interesting debate for government is charter schools and whether they should be increased.

They are an organization that focuses on helping the community through volunteering at programs benefiting society. One program we support is the ‘support our troops’ program. One of our members is an army veteran and he was responsible for bringing our attention to this program. He put together a list of items our service men and women request that will make their time away from their homes more pleasant.

Recently, I became a member of Costco, a grocery change which sells in large bulk quantities to the public. Given this, I proceeded to purchase items on the list so I could ship them to the address provided. I got asprin, razors, soap, sponges, toothpaste, and toothbrushes so I could mail them to the troops. Another thing I wanted to send over to the troops were copies of my first published book, Return From a Comatose Mind. After I was finished putting the materials together, I brought them over to the local post office so they could be shipped.

The woman working said she would be happy to help me put the items together and package them to be shipped. While we were putting the items into the box, she noticed my book and asked me if I had written it and if it was a true story. I told her it was and I had written it, I noted that our service men and women probably would benefit from hearing a positive, motivational story.

After reading the back cover, the woman said the story sounded very interesting and asked if I had another copy. She asked me how much they were, and I replied $15. “However, I’ll give it to you for $10 since you’ve helped me put this care package together for our troops.

She then proceeded to weigh the package and told me it would cost $13(roughly) to mail. I asked her if she could just take the $10 dollars for the book off the price of the shipment. She smiled and replied that she would send it for free if I signed the book for her. I happily signed the book and the care package was sent to our troops free of charge.
