Thoughts Toward A Better America
The way education can be improved is by offering ways to improve it that really will work. I was asked during a television interview where I thought the problem was coming from, and to me that is the wrong way of correcting the shortfalls in education. Blaming any one aspect about education will not do any good.
What will do good is suggesting ways each sector responsible for education, how they can take an active roll in improving the levels of education in our society. Students need to be mentally prepared for the journey they will embark on. Parents must do their best in supporting this process. Teachers need to be trained and skilled at managing class distractions. The community must help by donating their time and energy into the process. An interesting debate for government is charter schools and whether they should be increased.
I am a published author and motivational speaker living in Charleston, South Carolina. When I was in high school I was involved in a tragic accident in which I lost a dear friend and began my journey through a long and painful recovery. Today I mentor other people faced with similar circumstances and I help them see that not all is lost and that the beauty of the human spirit can carry the day. I am opening up new horizons in my professional career and I will be available soon for public speaking engagements to show people first hand that they do have the power to face what life has dealt them with pride and perseverance.
