What Others Are Saying: Jason Deierlein, "Return from a Comatose Mind"

"APPRECIATE LIFE!"
"So many tragedies in the world. Watching the news today wounds my feelings. Still, we MUST live each of our days with joy. To do any less demeans the life that others have lost.
I just finished reading "Return from a Comatose Mind" by a local Charleston, SC author named Jason Deierlein. He was in a tragic accident where he became trapped in a comatose body. Not being able to speak, move, or see...no one else knew he was "in there" experiencing everything around him (especially unbearable pain).
The accident claimed the life of his best friend, ended his competitive swimming career, left him in a coma for months, and over some years he had to re-learn speaking, walking, and other cognitive processes. TODAY he is dedicated to helping others appreciate the life they have while they have it.
The South Carolina Jaycees honored Jason Deierlein with the SCOYA Award: "South Carolina Outstanding Young American". He sets an example for us all!
Jason inspires me and I really appreciate his experiences." - by OnlineDesign, SC Publicist
